THE WORK

Most of our engagements start the same way: there's a role that needs filling, a project that needs owning, or a backlog that's been growing for months.

What doesn't happen with Blueprints & Playbooks is a lengthy onboarding process, a series of "getting to know you" meetings, or a learning curve that costs you more time than it saves.

I show up ready to work. The goal on day one is to find the thing that's been sitting on the wish list the longest and start moving it toward done.

At the 2026 Australian Open, that meant converting four separate patron messaging sources into one unified playbook, a project that had been on the wish list for five years. It was done in one week and served patrons and stakeholders alike throughout the tournament. An updated version is already on order for AO27.

The National Baseball Congress World Series is a tournament organization running on one director, one full-time team member, and a billion sticky notes. The work is centered on two outcomes: a "Won the Lottery Manual" (everything anyone needs to know if the current team sails off into the sunset tomorrow) and a "Post-It Bonfire" where every disparate note, reminder, and orphaned process gets organized, documented, and made readily accessible. Our work on this project is the "small ball" to ensure everyone is ready for the power hitting that's now possible.

This is the 25th Hour in practice.

THE BRASS TACKS

We scope by project or, if preferred, by a pre-determined number of hours. This guarantees that you're paying for exactly what you need, exactly when you need it. All of the benefits of an additional team member without the requirements of an additional head count.

The work gets done while your budget stays intact.

One thing to know about Blueprints & Playbooks: while 'yes' is our default setting, we only take on clients for whom we know we can deliver. This is the only way to ensure every project gets full attention, which means a discussion around timing will be a key part of our game planning session.
